COMMUNICATION STRATEGY & DESIGN
This project transformed an in-person cultural competency education program into a comprehensive digital training experience for medical practitioners. Designed to support doctors in navigating conversations about sexual health with people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, the program was developed into six interactive modules. Video-based scenarios offered multiple narrative pathways, enabling participants to explore responses and reflect on their decision-making. A final certification module provided a structured pathway for completion.
I led the creative direction of the website, including naming and overall visual design, and collaborated with a UX developer on the site’s wireframe and structure. This work was undertaken in partnership with a theatre practitioner-researcher, members of Australian migrant communities, and health researchers from Curtin University, as well as representatives from the Government of Western Australia Department of Health. The outcome is a cohesive, integrated digital platform that combines research, storytelling, and design to support effective practitioner communication and cultural competency.
